STAIRWELL
Acts 2:37-38
Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" 38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized/immersed in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Naturally once all or most of the renovations have been completed, Lord willing, we hope to hold a sort of grand opening, inviting the public to attend. The focus will be initially within the surrounding neighbourhood and local media.
There are three large apartment complexes, some smaller apartment buildings in addition to a wealth of individual residences and semi-detached. There are also six other ‘churches’ within easy walking distance.
Yet, among us all,
there is only one church that Jesus built!
Matthew 16:15-18
He said to them,
"But who do you say that I am?"

But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ… 12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as laving laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus… 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory...

40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying,
"Be saved from this perverse generation."
41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized/immersed and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Gehenna: Hell: Greek: Hinnom; ge-henna (or Ge-Hinnom), a valley of Jerusalem, used for the burning of refuse, garbage, dead bodies. It was a long valley/gorge hot with fire, probably smelled equally bad, toxic and incessantly burning. Said to burned 24/7 365 days a year Jesus used it as a very understable and visually stimulating analogy for those He was talking to in Jerusalem enabling them readilyto envision the fires of the final everlasting hell. (Figuratively) as a name for the place (or state) of everlasting punishment:
Revelation 20:7-15
Hades: The place where all go when they die (are separated from the body of flesh), except the following:
Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheadedbecause of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who (Greek: any that) had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand... Revelation 20:4
Interesting that 'those who' in Greek is covered by the Greek word 'hostis' (Hos' tis) and translates as 'any that'.
Jesus went to Hades upon His death. Luke 23:29-43. Even He also depended upon the power of God. Luke 23:46; Acts 2:27. Also, consider that God the Father made known to Jesus 'the Ways of life' Acts 2:28. The Truth of the Life, the Way of life and Life itself were all incarnate in Christ John 1:14.
Jesus depended on God - Do not let this fact escape you. You are deoendent on God!

Colossians 2:8-14
8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; 11 and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;
Do you realize that 'baptism' is our 'circumcision'?
12 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
Where, how do/did you receive 'forgiveness of transgressions/sin?
Acts 2:38
14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
Further, made this 'absolute' statement in John 14:6, 'Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me"'. Hence, God's power for us is the gospel of Jesus Christ, Romans 16:16, that we too might go not just to Hades, where everyone goes anyway, but to the 'best' of Hades. The gospel is 'Jesus', just as He is the Word (John 1:1-5), become flesh (John 1:14). 'Emmanuel' one of the names Jesus was referred to as, which translated means 'God with us' (Matthew 1:18-25).

47 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, 48 which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, 50 and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Romans 12:1-2
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Colossians 1:13-14
13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Acts 26:17-18
rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, 18 to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.'
Ephesians 1:18-19
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
