Acts 2:36-38

36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

38
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for

every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, NKJV

Acts 2:43-47

43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

47 praising God and having favor with all the people.

And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Acts 2:39-42

39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

& SUCH!

"I Will Build My Church"

That said,

Welcome To The Church...

Jesus Built!

He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"

Simon Peter answered and said,

"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God"

Jesus answered and said to him,"Blessed are you, Simon

Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you,

but My Father who is in heaven.

I also say to you that you are Peter (Petros – small stone),

and on this rock           (Petra - large foundational rock)

I will build My church  (Kingdom, Body - Colossians 1:18)

Matthew 16:15-19        (Kingdom - verse19)

1 Corinthians 10:1-4; Verse 4

and that Rock        (Petra-large foundational rock)  was Christ

So, The Question You Need To Ask Is – Who Built The Rest?

Speak Where The Bible Speaks
Be Silent Where It Is Silent

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword

and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit of both

joints and marrow and able to judge

the thoughts and intentions

of the heart.

Ezekiel 34:16

and, Edify and Encourage the Faithful

But as it is written:
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

1 Corinthians 2:9, NKJV

and ‘care for’ one and all, starting with the household of faith

For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'

"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' NKJV

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. NKJV

WELCOME HOME

Scriptorials

bible

Come to Me,

all you who labor and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,

for I am gentle and lowly in heart,

and you will find rest for your souls.

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Matthew 11:28-30, NKJV

We’ve seen the transformation begin many times – people who come to us with doubt and uncertainty in their lives, then becoming secure in the knowledge of their rightful place in God’s great kingdom. The change may start slowly – in a Bible Study class, through prayer, singing, maybe by just hearing a sermon or perhaps simply by having a Christian friend– but once it begins, it gathers momentum. The good works, shared experiences, time spent worshiping God in Spirit and Truth– all bringing us closer to our highest calling for as

James wrote, ' Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.' James 1:18

Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free". John 8:32

'And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God'.       Romans 12:2

And just so you know. Jesus made you a promise that as much as anything, will search your motives and test your honesty, integrity and will, in your search for answers.

As Jesus said, 'If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority' (as a man).

John 7:17

Bottom line. If you really want to know the truth, you truly will know, based on whether you honestly want to do what God wants you to do. Until then, you never will, be free. One last thing- if you want the truth, don't be surprised that you must want it more than anything else. As somebody once said, it may be an 'inconvenient truth'. It may at times put you in an 'uncomfortable pew'. Jesus neither promised convenience nor to keep us comfortable. Nor did he 'live' as such. Yet, He did die for the truth and us-  thus speaking as the oracles of God truth is scripturally presented, scripturally backed letting scripture interpret scripture just as God intended.

Take a step toward personal renewal – join us for services this Lord's Day, Sunday! Check out this website.

Inasmuch as Jesus is the Way, The Truth and the Life, it will certainly get you started in the right Way, with the Truth and nothing but the Truth and offer meaning to Life that truly transforms lives. That's a promise- based on Jesus Christ.

Or, just call us to talk...

Inasmuch as...

Christ's followers were known as

'Christians'

Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16
