Self-esteem
and confidence
are intrinsically linked. In either
a positive or
negative way they are proportionate to one another.
It’s almost a symbiotic relationship.
Self-Esteem
Fear

self-esteem
destroyer

Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." Genesis 4:13-14
But Moses said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?" Exodus3:11
Moses answered, "What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, `The LORD did not appear to you'?" Exodus 4:1
Moses said to the LORD, "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue." Exodus 4:10

ALL ABOUT YOU!
Self-esteem is directly linked to sin, guilt and forgiveness. Can you imagine on the day of Pentecost how those preached to went from one end of the spectrum to the other? From being pierced to the heart to receiving the implanted Word, able to save their souls. Forgiveness of sin and living a life of faith and service are incredible remedies for low self-esteem. Sometimes, we must experience or be brought to the low point before we can fully experience the high. Unfortunate but true. How did God deal with Adam and Eve, Cain, Moses, Elijah and Peter? What about you and yours?
THE LORD'S DAY
YOUR PLACE TOO!
Isaiah 43:10-13 is simply amazing! In life everybody looks plan a ‘plan B’. It’s the alternative plan, you know the ‘next best thing’. Now hear this– There is no backup plan. God doesn’t need one. Although the Law was added (Gal 3:19) ‘What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come’, it wasn’t a backup plan. It was part of the plan, just as Christ was part of the plan from Garden times.
There is no other God.
Read again 1 Kings 18:16-40 about the prophets of Baal.
There is no other Saviour, save Christ.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
There is no other way to God, save through Christ
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
There’s no room for fence sitting
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. John 3:18
He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. Matt 12:30
So, what’s one more loser in the world? It matters, if it’s you!
If am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 1 Timothy 3:15
Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day's journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, LORD," he said. "Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors." Then he lay down under the tree and fell asleep… He replied, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, broken down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too." 1 Kings 19:3-5, 10
Peter replied, "Man, I don't know what you're talking about!" Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: "Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly. Luke 22:60-62
When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth. Luke 18:22-23
"Then the man who had received the one talent came. `Master,' he said, `I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.' Matthew 25:24-25

There are many
reasons why people lack
self-esteem.
Two major causes are the absence of esteem building actions and wrong behavior.
The bible looks at such as acts of
omission or
commission.

Self-Esteem
The Best
Self-esteem
Doesn’t Come
From Self At All
It Comes From God Above
In the world and of the world, self-esteem largely depends on the accolades of those around us whether at home, work or play. The ‘build’ can come from family, friends, acquaintances or even strangers. It can relate to practical or conceptual experiences. Self-esteem can interweave, ascend and descend, transcend or migrate to and from various levels of ‘being’ such as sociological, psychological, It can be as strong as Fort Knox, yet if built on stilts– crumble with the slightest tremor. It can be a house of cards built on the foundation of Fort Knox yet get blown over by the lightest of winds. The point is, if your self esteem is dependent on the whims of ’humanity’, it is as frail as it is strong. It will ride the roller coaster of life with its ups and downs, its thrills and chills and its highs and lows, at times crawling to the top, inevitably crashing with speed to the bottom. There today and gone tomorrow... One’s things for sure. As the winds of emotions go, it goes. Driven by such winds, the sails of self-esteem are occasionally full, often flat. When full, frequently sending you flat out in the wrong direction and when flat, giving neither momentum nor direction.
Worldly self-esteem is a lose-lose proposition. Don’t be a loser.
The world is already full of them and God doesn't make losers.
