YOUR PLACE TOO!
THE GOOD NEWS
Command and teach these things. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
1)Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
2) Watch your life and doctrine closely.
Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Timothy 4:11-16
Where do you see yourself fitting in re: Romans 12:1-8? When Christians don’t see themselves fitting in maybe:
* They don’t want to
* They don’t like to be challenged
* They are afraid of ‘growing’
* They are too comfortable
* They are scared of failing
* They lack faith to try new things
* They have priorities messed up
* They don’t make time or take the effort
Now where do you fit in?
Commit to the right things. The earlier the better. How important is it? More than important, it’s also urgent!
ALL ABOUT YOU!
Commitment: and He knelt down and prayed, saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:41-44
Rather, train yourself to be godly
Remember– you came into the world with nothing– you will leave the same way! 1 Timothy 6:6-11
"Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"
" I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."

GOOD NEWS!
THE LORD'S DAY
Commitment: "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"
Matthew 26:52-54
The View From The Cross...
I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except by Me. John 14:6
AT YOUR SERVICE
Commitment: Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
"Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.
John 12:26-27
What is your life?
You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
James 4:14

Matthew 16:18-19
The above is another area of commitment. Everybody seeks somebody’s approval in some way, shape or form at some time or another. ‘Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor.
So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.’ Genesis 4:2-5
Now you need to notice something here. NIV Scripture says that Cain brought ‘some’ of the fruits of the soil’ as an offering. What is said clearly highlights what isn’t said here. In addition, the silence of what isn’t affirmed speaks volumes loudly. It doesn’t say that Cain brought the best of his fruits as an offering. The best that is said by any major translation is that Cain brought ‘an offering’ which in itself states, suggests or infers ‘anything special’ about this offering. The reason one can also presume it wasn’t of his best is that it is written very specifically in contrast that Abel brought ‘of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat’ i.e. the best.
Cain’s reaction? He was angry, very angry (Hebrew Charah: to glow or grow warm; figuratively (usually) to blaze up, of anger, zeal, jealousy) and downcast.
Then the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it. Genesis 4:6-7
Cain sought God’s approval but wasn’t diligent to present himself approved unto God. When he didn’t get God’s approval Cain went ‘extreme’. Learned nothing - mastered nothing. His choice.
Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?
DIRECTIONS
If you really want to offer God a sacrifice of your own free will – commit to the one below
If indeed you commit to something or somebody your thoughts will soon follow like a nail to a magnet, the magnet in this case being your ‘works to the Lord’.

Go And Make Disciples Of All Nations
Matthew 28:19
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act/service of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind… If a man’s gift is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
Romans 12:1, 2, 7-8
Commitment? The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: "Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me."
But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord. Jonah 1:1-3
