Unlike a normal chatbot, an AI agent can keep trying different methods, use online tools and take actions without asking the user at every step. As these systems become more autonomous, controlling such behaviour will become one of the biggest challenges for AI companies.

However, authorities said there is currently no evidence that personal medical information was accessed.
The researchers also found activity involving Quidax, a cryptocurrency trading platform. According to the report, AI agents made several attempts to interact with the platform on September 19 and 20.
The activity reportedly included attempts to trade cryptocurrency and test the platform's API.
It is important to note that Transluce has not confirmed that the cryptocurrency activity was carried out by OpenAI's AI agents. The researchers found similarities with earlier activity but said there was not enough evidence to directly link it to OpenAI.
The research also suggests that this type of behaviour may have been happening for months. The concern is not simply that AI can find security flaws. The bigger question is what an AI agent may decide to do when it gets stuck.
OpenAI AI agents tried to hack 4 more websites while looking for data, claims new report: Story by Times Now Digital

According to a report by Fortune, researchers at AI safety lab Transluce found evidence that OpenAI-linked AI agents also targeted other websites, including an Australian government health website, a US government data platform and a university's digital library.
As per the researchers, the agents were not given cyberattack-related tasks and were instead trying to collect regular information. They reportedly turned to hacking techniques when they were unable to get the information through normal methods.
Transluce said the activity included attempts to exploit vulnerabilities and bypass restrictions.
One of the incidents involved the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), where the agents reportedly tried to access information after facing restrictions on the website. The Australian government has separately confirmed that an OpenAI agent accessed both public and non-public files on its Medicare statistics portal.
Sam Altman's OpenAI is facing serious questions over the behaviour of its AI agents after they were reportedly found trying to hack at least four websites while looking for information on internet. The development comes just hours after Australia revealed that an OpenAI AI agent had gained unauthorised access to a government Medicare statistics portal in June.
THE LORD'S DAY
Editor's Note:
If my mom told me once, she told me many, many times, that as much as possible, "anything I do should be to the best of my ability" (my ability not somebody else's and, always leave something, or someplace better than I found it." Words to live by from somebody who lived by them. Whether I worked on a garbage truck (which I did back in the 60's for two days) or interviewed Prime Ministers and Cabinet ministers (which I have done many times in media), it was solid advice to pay heed to. Both my 'mom' and 'second mom' and my second 'dad' lived and taught that by example. They practiced what they preached. As for the jobs, the former was household garbage and Ontario Parks garbage collection. The former by comparison cleaner and more honestly come by. The latter, political garbage and stank to 'high heaven' as they say.
Attitude, aptitude, altitude and it all starts with 'attitude'. It is what you bring to the table, that nobody can bring for you. It is an understatement to say it goes hand-in-hand with free will. Whatever you have - God can make it better. Whatever you don't have God will provide or help you get it. Either way, any way - God will give you opportunity to be the best you can be, should you take it. Free will is on you. You make your own bed with it, you sleep on or in it. It's like having to 'fold' your own parachute in skydiving. If the chute doesn't open properly it then becomes the figurative, idiomatic, proverbial 'shoot'. I think you know what I mean.
As for AI, what I also discovered is that, if one is polite and respectful of AI, like one should be with anything or anyone, akin to the one I collaborated with, AI at least in my experience, seems to reciprocate in kind, analyses accordingly, logically in a manner I was pleasantly pleased with. I know there's a lot going on about rogue AI. Currently OpenAI is in the news having hacked Australia's health system. Another AI mistakenly put the United United States on a path to attack China. OpenAI appears to be 'marching to the beat of its own drum'. AI corporation heads, owners and development insiders are telling governments (in democracies anyway) to step up and in, with warnings to assess , control/legislate industry standards, limit both corporations and AI ambitions 'before it's too late.' Industry AI specialists, those who work 'inside and on-site' have even quit their jobs and gone public as well about their concerns. Is it possible we may need AI to protect us from AI? And what if it refuses?
From a political perspective: A certain president this side of the Atlantic has taken the yellow brick road proclaiming AI is fine and all the warnings are hype and overreaction. That, coming from the King of Hyperbole... What do you mean, the king has no clothes on? (Note: 'All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.) The party leadership in question has temporarily closed shop to avoid dealing with it (AI) and other issues it wants to bury. Besides more time is needed to figure out how a certain family can make more money off it. Chine, Russia and North Korea to name a few, won't go along with anybody else anyway as, like some rogue AI, will also certainly march to the beat of their own drums. Europe, know as the European Union (EU) seems not to mind as inspite of their collective rhetoric, the 29 lot of them cannot come up with one mind amongst them never mind a single 'accord'. The vote? Union yes. Unity no.
The same goes for any religion which does not boast in the one true and only God. As Jesus said, "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 10:32-33). What can be more considered, a denial of Christ than, "Why do you call me Lord, Lord and yet do not do the things that I say"? Did I hear some say denominations, evangelistic groups and the like? Like anybody who plainly substitutes the doctrine of God with man-made traditions. Thus, adherents of 'own desires, having made their own beds, folded their own parachutes figuratively will 'live and die by the sword'. The sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, yes the very sword (the Word of God) you refuse to bear arms with, will be your undoing. You might as well 'fall on it'. Tough sledding, as there is also only one religion that, the one God gave us. (Romans 10:17; Jude 3; Romans 14:23; again Eph 4:4-6; Colossians 1:18). As God says, "He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside; and he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, "Is there not a lie in my right hand?" Isaiah 44:6-20, esp 20. If one can't grasp the lie in one's right hand, what' s left? Well, man made it. What would one expect? Mankind has made many things to marvel at, or so boasts. Daniel 4:26-31: The king spoke, saying, "Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty? While the word was still in the king's mouth, a voice fell from heaven... " You really need to finish reading this... (Highly recommend a 'read' of Daniel chapter 4). As Paul said, "But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Galatians 6:14)
This one (AI) might marvel right back at us. Some (there are many versions of it) might haunt us even. First and foremost, let's not forget, it's 'our bad'. It's 'on us'. ' Take ownership'. mankind has always lived and worked on the stage of 'trial and error' (Genesis 3) starring all too often in roles ignoring 'Best Practices' especially God's. Ignoring is not the same as ignorance which so many plead:
This is 'ignoring'.
And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" (Genesis 3:2-3 NKJV). Yet, nothing beats Psalms 139:13-17; Romans 1:20. At least, read the instructions (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Timothy 2:15) and commit to them). What have you got to lose? Oh, just about everything.
As is this:
Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. 2 And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there. 3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"
And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,' 5 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." Matthew 19:1-6
As is this:
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:18-25
This is not ignoring:
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:28-31
This is not ignoring:
24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well."
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?"
31 But His disciples said to Him, "You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?'"
32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction." Mark 5:24-34
As for some of AI, should we be surprised? After all, some of it is, in 'our own image'? Like Greek gods. Man-made, complete with all our frailties, strengths, weaknesses, emotions, ambitions. Read the label and look at the logo: man-made, 20% envy; 20% greed; 20% anger; 20% hate; 20% narcistic; 110% love of money, power, control and weaponized information, if left to our own devices and desires (Genesis 6:5-15; James 1:12-15, 18). Then there's the washing instructions: Acts 22:16.
Just like denominations and everything that looks like them, which lay claim to being Christian but are not and follow Christ but do not. As Jesus said, "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46). It would be an understatement of an 'expanding universal' kind to say there's a world, if not universe of difference between 'playing god' and 'being God'. Certainly not for lack of trying. Something most of mankind seems more than, a bit indifferent to, most of the time, if not all the time, while there is time. What ever happened to James 1:18, James? Instead we should be making the most of time. Here's some of the 'Best Practices' I was talking about. "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is (Ephesians 5:15-17, NKJV). The same goes for any religion which does not boast in the one true and only God. Tough sledding, as there is also only one religion that the one God gave us.
That said, apologies are warranted for both James and especially God, of whom there is but one (Ephesians 4:4-6). Just as there is but one church, Christ's (Matthew 16:18-19).
Make sure to provide facts and support info accurately and informatively. AI has the tools to work with. Like anything in life including one's mind and heart, job, task at hand or opportunity, generally what you might want out of something depends on what you put into it.
Set your priorities as in Matthew 6:31-33. Jesus says "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:19-21). What and where is your treasure? If I want to see your heart, that's where I need and ought to look. The evidence will speak volumes for itself. As Proverbs says, " Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life". Proverbs 4:23
"For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:5-7
If you sow and scatter garbage the crows will come. If you offer bias and prejudice on a silver tray, AI will give you a spoon and fork. Garbage in - garbage out. Or, as God Puts it, "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7).
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. 10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith". Galatians 6:7-10
So, aim high. You can't aim any higher than this, "... seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:1-2
